Edmund Milewski is all of these, plus a husband, father and grandfather.

Born and raised in Camden County, Ed grew up working in the nursery business as a landscaper. He later joined the Air Force, studied engineering and graduated third in his class in construction surveying.

Honorably discharged in 1955, Ed returned home to attend Rutgers University where he studied horticultural science and received a Bachelor of Science degree in ornamental horticulture. He later earned a Masters' degree in horticulture from the University of Illinois.

Ed's career included work as a landscape designer for New Jersey's Department of Transportation and as a landscape design teacher at Camden County's Vocational School.

In 1966, Ed began work as an Agricultural Agent for Morris County. He was committed to teaching adults and young people about landscape design and equipped many a homeowner with practical landscaping techniques.

Ed and his wife, Barbara, have been married for 41 years. They have four children and two grandchildren.

Ed is currently treasurer of the Morris County Mosquito Control Commission.

He served on the Vocational Tech and Agricultural Advisory Committees for Morris County College and was a member of the American Horticultural Society and the New Jersey Shade Association. He was president of the Agricultural Agents Association of New Jersey and secretary of the New Jersey Turf Grass Association.

Ed received countless awards for his work in the horticultural sector and was inducted in 1992 into the New Jersey Turfgrass Hall of Fame.

By sharing his expertise, Ed helped others expand their knowledge of horticulture and New Jersey's horticulture industry.
