The Bureau of Agricultural Chemistry of the New Jersey Department of Agriculture is mandated by law, N.J.A.C. 2:68, N.J.A.C. 2:69 and N.J.A.C. 2:70, to sample and analyze animal feeds (including pet foods), commercial fertilizers (including lawn foods), and liming materials.

The Bureau operation consists of manufacturer registration, product inspection, sample analysis and enforcement action. The goal is to maintain and insure the quality of agricultural commodities.

A current list of feed, fertilizer and lime registrant, the consumption data of feed, fertilizer and lime in New Jersey, the New Jersey Fertilizer Tonnage Report along with results of the analytical work performed during the period beginning July 1, 1999 and ending June 30, 2000 are summarized in this publication.
