2000 New Jersey Dairy Princess Crowned

Eileen Salter, daughter of John and Susanne Salter of Phillipsburg, Warren County, is the newly crowned 2000-2001 New Jersey Dairy Princess. A graduate from the State University of New York at Morrisville with an associates degree in dairy science, the 20-year-old will receive a $500 scholarship. Eileen currently attends Northampton Area Community College where she is studying to be a veterinary technician. She has been involved with 4-H for 12 years and is a co-leader of the Allamuchy Aggies 4-H Dairy Club. First runner-up was Burlington County Dairy Princess Jaime Marie Carlisle, daughter of Kenneth and Charlene Carlisle of Moorestown, who was awarded a $300 scholarship. The 17-year-old is a senior at Moorestown High School. Jaime was raised on a dairy farm and is very knowledgeable about the dairy industry as well as the day-to-day work involved in running a dairy farm. Second runner-up was Gloucester County Dairy Princess Megan Seeman, daughter of William and Susan Seeman of Mullica Hill, who was awarded a $200 scholarship. A senior at Kingsway Regional High School, the 17-year-old plans to attend college and study public relations and promote the dairy industry.
