Two farms, Deancrest Dairy, located in Blairstown, Warren County and DebMark Holsteins, located in Newton, Sussex County, were recently awarded the Garden State Milk Council's Dairy of Distinction Award.

Dairy of Distinction
The Dairy of Distinction honor is awarded annually to dairy operations that are deemed the best representatives of the industry by virtue of general farm maintenance, farm efficiency, creativity, dedication and achievement in a rapidly changing marketplace. The Deancrest Dairy is owned and operated by Irwin and Adonis Dean. The dairy operation consists of 52 milking Holsteins which produce an average of 949,000 pounds of milk per year. Mark Lockburner and sons, Mark Jr. and Greg, own DebMark Holsteins. The Lockburners milk more than 60 registered Holsteins which they also show at various fairs throughout New Jersey.
