NJDA's
Secretary of Agriculture Arthur R. Brown, Jr. was
presented with the New Jersey Farm Bureau's Distinguished
Service to New Jersey Agriculture Award during
the Farm Bureau's 82nd Annual Convention
in Cape May last week. The award was given to him
in appreciation for his many years of leadership
and direction to New Jersey on behalf of the state's
agriculture industry and farmers. The plaque presented
by Farm Bureau President John Rigolizzo read: "In
appreciation for your many years of leadership
and direction to New Jersey agriculture. The challenges
of farming in an urban state are greatly assisted
by your role as chief spokesman to the public and
representative in the Governor's Cabinet. There
is a great partnership between Farm Bureau and
your tenure as Agriculture Secretary, one that
demonstrates the benefits of shared responsibility
in safeguarding farming in the Garden State.
Brown
was honored last month by the Essex County Board
of Agriculture which presented him with their
Distinguished Service Award during their annual
dinner. |
