Notices of Proposed Telephone Discontinuance

As per N.J.A.C. 14:10-12.3, MCImetro Access Transmission Services LLC, d/b/a Verizon Access Transmission Services; MCI Communications Services, Inc., d/b/a Verizon Business Services; TTI National, Inc.; and Teleconnect Long Distance Services & Systems Company, d/b/a Telecom*USA (collectively, “MCI”), gave notice to the NJBPU that it will no longer provide local and local integrated telephone service to residential and small business customers in New Jersey as of September 31, 2009. Customers will migrate to Verizon New Jersey, Inc. unless the customer selects an alternative telephone service provider by August 3, 2009.

As per N.J.A.C. 14:10-12.3, Comcast Business Communications (CBC) gave notice to the NJBPU that it will no longer provide local or long distance telephone service in New Jersey as of June 30, 2009. The proposed cut-off date on which customers must select an alternative provider will be at least 20 days prior to the proposed departure date, or June 10, 2009.
