Purpose: The Career and Technical Education Partnership (CTEP) grant program is a critical initiative to galvanize positive, productive links among public education, business, industry, labor and workforce development and institutions of higher education to create opportunities for enhancing quality secondary and postsecondary career and technical education (CTE) programs in New Jersey. In response to national and state initiatives, the New Jersey Department of Education (NJDOE) has developed this grant program to create a systemic approach to engage these stakeholders in an ongoing process in order to address the four priorities in agriculture, food, and natural resources as outlined in section 1.1 of the NGO document. The CTEP program is a continuation grant awarded in the first year to the New Jersey Department of Agriculture. This NGO covers the second year of a four-year grant cycle. Based on the availability of state and federal resources, this second year of the grant program will begin July 1, 2010 and end on August 31, 2011.
