Age Range: The Jersey City Program for Students who are Deaf/Hard of Hearing serves preschool through high school-aged students. The preschool through elementary program is housed at P.S. #27. The high school program is at McNair Academic High School. The program options include a regular education program with teachers of the deaf providing in-class support, as well as self-contained classes. All of the students receive speech/language therapy and training in total communication. In addition, all of the youngsters participate in all school activities and are fully mainstreamed for all nonacademic subjects. to
