A Message from the Acting
Governor:
Thank you for
visiting the Property Tax Convention Task
Force website. The task force has completed
its work, recommending how best to conduct
a constitutional convention for property
tax reform.
I commend Chairman
Van Horn and Vice Chairman Cole for maintaining
a process that was open, deliberative and
bipartisan. This process has been a model
for all government.
I also commend
the commission members - their time and
effort has resulted in a valuable resource
for a complex issue.
Thank you to
the New Jersey residents who offered their
thoughts, concerns and insight throughout
this process. Thank you for coming to our
public meetings and giving your testimony.
Thank you for taking the time to write letters
and emails and making your voice heard.
Hundreds of people came out to the task
force's public meetings and thousands more
wrote letters. I will study the recommendations
of the task force. I encourage you to read
the final report and give me your thoughts.
