2008 Parks & Facilities Guide Available Online.
Dear Fellow Residents:
On behalf of the Mercer County Park Commission, I proudly encourage you to take full advantage of the diverse offerings and facilities within our more than 5,300 acres of parkland space. Over the past few years virtually every facility, picnic area, playground, and ball field has undergone significant improvements. We strive to provide our park visitors with the very best in parkland space and amenities.
Thanks to the tremendous support of County Executive Brian M. Hughes, the Board of Chosen Freeholders and the Park Commissioners, the bar has been significantly raised for you - county residents and park visitors. The new club house at Mountain View, the Marina at Mercer County Park, Mercer Oaks Golf Course, its golf shop and catering, and Howell Living History Farm all have been recognized - either nationally, statewide or regionally - by magazines, newspapers, and state organizations for excellence or as popular destinations.
The new Tennis Facility at Mercer County Park, and Wildlife Center in Titusville will further enable us to offer the very best facilities, services and programs. Improvements to our web sites (mercercounty.org and golfmercercounty.com), enhanced customer service (most facilities now accept credit cards) and clearly marked directional signs, all enable users to make the most of their park visits.
I hope this website is useful to you and gives you more information about the Mercer County Park Commission. Regardless of your age, level of fitness or ability, interests in passive or active recreation, or where you call home, we truly offer something for everyone. Whether it is a walk up a mountain trail or down a fairway, the Mercer County Park Commission is proud to serve you and continue the tradition of meeting your recreational needs.
Thank you for your continued support.
Sincerely,
Kevin B. Bannon
Executive Director, Mercer County Park Commission
