Mercer County Equestrian Center
- History and Establishment
- The first area farmer was Earnest Johnson who utilized the land for dairy and crops. Earnest Johnson is also the son of Russell Johnson who owned a farm on the land where Rosedale Park currently sits.
- The MacDonalds leased the land to area farmers shortly after their acquisition.
- In 1970, the Rigazza Family sold the land on which the Mercer County Equestrian Center is currently sitting on to the MacDonald Family, who named their farm "Hadda Farm".
- Since being acquired by the County in 1994, Mercer County Equestrian Center has been updated to feature 2 barns, 31 stalls, an indoor and outdoor ring, 2 grooming sta

- The 243-acre facility has trails through woods on the property that lead to Rosedale Park and Mercer County Park Northwest.
- There are 31 stalls, and 2 barns at the Equestrian Center. Also, 28 horses reside at this facility.
- The renovated lounge area offers a viewing window to the indoor arena, contains the office, and two restrooms. All handicapped accessible.

- Programs and Activities
- A variety of lessons (both individual and group)are available year-round.
- Self-guided tours are encouraged during business hours. Visitors can walk through the barns and the property at their leisure for no charge.
- Basic pony rides are available for youngsters during the normal hours of operation.
- The Equestrian Center is a great place for birthdays and special events providing pony rides and party area.
- Trail ride permits and Summer Camps are also available.
- A variety of lessons (both individual and group)are available year-round.
