  • History and Establishment
    • The first Mercer County Indoor Tennis Center was completed in October of 1967 located adjacent to The Trenton/Mercer County Airport in West Trenton. Arthur Ashe, Clark Graebner, Manuel Santana and Gene Scott participated in the Dedication Exhibition.

    • The Mercer County Outdoor Center opened in April of 1981. Vincent Van Patten, Mary Lou Piatek, Jay Lapidus and Marty Devlin participated in the Dedication Exhibition.

    • Within the next year the Indoor Center in West Trenton will be replaced by a brand new state of the art complex at the current site of the Outdoor site in West Windsor.

    • When completed The Mercer County Tennis Center will boast 28 courts (22 outdoor and 6 indoor) all lighted and available for year round play.

    • Located immediately next to several nature trails, this establishment proves to be among the best.

  • Facilities
    • The Mercer County Public Outdoor Tennis Center is a multi-level terraced facility that encompasses 19 acres of beautiful 2500 acre Mercer County Park.

    • There are 26 courts with twenty lighted for night use.

    • The Clubhouse includes men's and women's locker rooms and showers, a pro shop, snack area and reservation desk.

  • Programs and Activities
    • The facility offers Season Passes to all players. A discounted season pass is available to Juniors (age 17 & under) and Seniors (age 62 & over).

    • Purchase of a Season Pass entitles the bearer to special court prices during the season, as well as reservation privileges.

    • The spring/summer/fall programs include adult clinics, junior clinics for all levels and ages, a nine-week summer tennis league, a seven-week fall tennis league and a women's round robin program.

    • The tournament schedule includes the Mercer County Men's & Women's A & B Singles and Doubles Tournaments, the Mercer County Mixed A& B Doubles Tournaments, the Mercer County Junior Tournaments, The Stone Age Open, The Mercer County Shootout, The Century Doubles Championships, various Senior Tournaments as well as other prestigious district and sectional tournaments.
