The Engineering Division oversees the design and construction of the County's transportation infrastructure and provides professional engineering services to other departments and divisions within the County.  The Engineering Division is also responsible for maintaining an inventory of roadways, drainage structures, traffic signals, signs, pavement markings and other physical features on the county roadway network.  Core functions of the Engineering Division include surveying, highway, bridge and traffic engineering design, use of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and computer-aided drafting (CAD).  In addition, the Engineering Division is responsible for the review of development as it impacts drainage and traffic.
