TRENTON, N.J. -Mercer County Executive Brian M. Hughes and the Mercer County Park Commission are pleased to announce the opening of all four Mercer County golf courses Wednesday, March 7.
The County is scheduled to open Princeton Country Club, Mountain View, and both golf courses at Mercer Oaks, weather permitting.
"It's that time of year again, and I'm pleased to welcome back all County residents to our first-class courses," Hughes said. "Our clubhouses and greens are in great shape for the 2007 season thanks to our employees' hard work during the off-season."
County residents are encouraged to renew their 2006 identification cards before April 1. Proof of residency and a $25 fee are required for renewals and new cards.
Residency can be established in several ways. A New Jersey driver's license with photo, a digital non-photo driver's license, or a digital boater's license can be used. Residents can also provide a photo and any two of the following: current property tax bill or tax statement; a non-photo driver's license; any correspondence from the Internal Revenue Service or state tax office; original lease or rental agreement with resident's name as the lessee or renter; at least two utility bills, such as gas, water, or electric.
Junior golfers can obtain an ID card by providing either a school report card or other school correspondence or a birth certificate and proof of his or her parent's residency.
