Aug-09-07 Hughes Releases Immature Cooper's Hawk at Wildlife Center
Mercer County Executive Brian M. Hughes visited the Mercer County Wildlife Center on August 9 to release an immature Cooper's Hawk back into the wild. The hawk was brought to the Wildlife Center in July by West Windsor's Animal Control Office after it had fallen from its nest and was unable to be replaced. Wildlife Center staff checked the hawk for injuries and monitored its progress for several weeks before deeming it ready to take flight.
