TRENTON, N.J. - Mercer County and Grounds For Sculpture will once again partner for the annual Mercer County Arts Showcase, which will be October 25, 2008, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Grounds for Sculpture in Hamilton.
This event offers art groups the chance to promote their organizations, present performances and informational workshops, network, and connect with educational and community groups that may wish to use their services. This event was first held in May 2004, and through it, many exciting partnerships and collaborations develop among the participating arts organizations.
"We want to encourage these relationships to continue to grow, and show our support for the contributions the arts make to the economic development of our communities as well as serving to sustain our vibrant culture,'' said Mercer County Executive Brian M. Hughes.
The event will be held in the Seward Johnson Center for the Arts, and weather permitting outside on the grounds. Performances and exhibits will take place throughout the day, and participating organizations will have information booths promoting their programs and services. This event will be marketed to education groups and community organizations throughout the state, and more than 50 organizations are expected to participate. To participate, please contact Rena Perone at Grounds For Sculpture no later than August 4, 2008 at (609) 586-0616, ext. 20.
