TRENTON, N.J.—Celebrate summer with a naturally magical event at Rosedale Park this Sunday, August 16 beginning at 8 p.m. The family-friendly event, sponsored by the Mercer County Park Commission, features “Master of Illusions” George P. Piegaro Jr. in an Eco- Friendly Magic Show, followed by a “Summer’s Setting Night Hike.”

The 30-minute Eco-Friendly magic show is guaranteed to leave everyone wondering, “How did they do that?”  The show ties in the theme of “going green” by sharing some simple, everyday ideas that can make a big difference at home and on our planet.

Following the magic show, join the County Naturalist for the Summer’s Setting Night Hike from 8:30 to 9:30 p.m. at Rosedale Park.  The hike is for families and costs $4 per person.

Night life of the natural kind abounds with folklore and mysterious secrets.  Join other night-loving creatures and the County Naturalist to decipher the myths and facts of nocturnal ecology.  Expect to experience some nature you’ve never seen during the daylight!  We’ll end with a fun “trick” of the dark.

Email jlear@mercercounty.org to register for the hike.  For a full menu of Mercer County Nature Programs, visit http://nj.gov/counties/mercer/commissions/park/natureprog.html.
