Aug-05-10 Nominations sought for Mercer County’s Disability Advocacy Awards

TRENTON, N.J. - Do you know an individual, organization or business in Mercer County whose efforts in the area of advocacy, service and inclusion on behalf of persons with disabilities have been exemplary?
The Mercer County Disabilities Advisory Council is seeking nominations for its 2010 Disability Advocate Awards Program. The deadline for nominations is Wednesday, Sept. 15. For a nomination form, check out

“This award provides an opportunity for Mercer County government to acknowledge those individuals, organizations and companies that make significant contributions in assisting people with disabilities throughout the year,” said Brian M. Hughes, Mercer County Executive. “Their efforts help allow our disabled residents to lead fuller, more productive lives and enhance the quality of life for our residents overall.”
Nominations should be as specific as possible and should include name and contact information for the nominator and nominee. Nominations may be mailed to the Disability Advocacy Awards Committee, c/o Mercer County Disabilities Advisory Council, 640 South Broad St., P.O.
