TRENTON, N.J. - Executive Brian M. Hughes is pleased to announce that Mercer County Technical Schools' Health Careers Center is launching a Massage Therapy program this summer. The 600-hour program will prepare students for The National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork. Students may opt to complete the program on a part-time or full-time basis starting in August.

"By launching a massage therapy program, we can prepare students for a career in less than a year. The industry is experiencing tremendous growth, and we're doing our part to train students for successful careers," says Sharon Nemeth, Principal of the Mercer County Technical Schools' Health Careers Center.

The program will include classes such as Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology for Massage I and II, Introduction to Massage Theory and Techniques, Professional Standards and Business Practice, Introduction to Clinical Experience, and Introduction to Eastern Massage Modalities and Practices.

Tuition for the program is just $3,730 for Mercer County residents. "We're certain the program will fill quickly, as it's significantly less expensive than private institutions offering similar options," claims Dr. Kimberly Schneider, Superintendent of Mercer County Technical Schools.
