TRENTON, N.J. - Is your price right on the money? Mercer County has partnered with the UCEDC, a non-profit economic development corporation, in hosting a business seminar titled The Price is Right: The How-To of Pricing your Products & Services for Marketing Success. The seminar, which will be on Thursday, November 10, 2011 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at the Hickory Corner Branch Library (138 Hickory Corner Road, East Windsor, NJ 08520), is part of a free business seminar program held throughout the year by the County of Mercer.

The seminar will help answer some of the following questions:

• You're ready to sell your product or service, but is anybody ready to buy?
• And what price will they pay?
• Should you give stuff away or charge a premium?
• What's the best way to encourage loyal buyers- everyday low prices or occasional sales?

In addition, you will learn how to competitively price your product or service for the market you are trying to reach and you will be able to determine the factors that go into pricing decisions. Specifically, the workshop will help you understand how your cost structure affects the price of your product or service; link marketing efforts to your price point; identify when to use price incentives and loss leaders with your customers; and learn how to use your pricing model as a tool for growth.

UCEDC Director Training, Erich Peter, will present the workshop and he offers a unique blend of corporate and small business experience to this conversation. With his real-world appreciation of the challenges that small business entrepreneurs face, Erich brings the right combination of theory and practice to his training events.
