County Executive Hughes, freeholders to be Officially Sworn In

TRENTON, N.J. - Mercer County Executive Brian M. Hughes will be officially sworn in for his third term as County Executive Jan. 4 at a 6 p.m. ceremony at the War Memorial in Trenton.
Mercer County Freeholders Lucylle R.S. Walter, John A. Cimino and Samuel T. Frisby Sr. will also be sworn in for three-year terms on the Board of Chosen Freeholders.
Hughes, a Democrat, was re-elected Nov. 8 and will accept a third, four-year term, with his brother, U.S. Magistrate Judge Hon. John J. Hughes, administering the oath of office. Walter will be sworn in by Mercer County Surrogate Diane Gerofsky; Cimino by his father, former New Jersey State Assemblyman Anthony “Skip” Cimino; and Frisby by Jeannine LaRue, former deputy chief of staff to Gov. Jon Corzine.
In addition, Gerofsky will administer the oath of office to the new board chair, and New Jersey State Assemblyman Wayne P. DeAngelo (D-14) will swear in the board vice chair.
The program will also include an invocation by the Rev. J. Stanley Justice, pastor, Greater Mount Zion AME Church; and benediction by the Rev. Dennis Apoldite, pastor, Coordinator of the Priestly Formation, Church of the Sacred Heart.
