Mercer County remembers and celebrates the life and work of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. on Monday, Jan. 16, 2012. Most Mercer County Administrative Offices will be closed in remembrance.
County Executive Brian M. Hughes reminds residents that although America has made great strides toward King’s vision for equality for all, there is still work to be done.
“We as a County cannot move forward unless we move forward together. A better future for our children is something Dr. King was passionate about, and a goal toward which we continue to strive,” Hughes said.
