- Mercer County Executive Brian M. Hughes is pleased to have received word today that several worthy nonprofit organizations based in Mercer County are the recipients of grants from the New Jersey Office of Faith Based Initiatives, part of the Department of State.

Receiving grants ranging from $20,000 to $25,000 were Crisis Ministry of Trenton and Princeton; People and Stories; Jewish Family Services; Isles Inc.; LIFE and Mercer County Hispanic Association.

“Here in Mercer County we are fortunate to have a multiplicity of worthy organizations that provide much needed services to our citizens,” Hughes said. “We thank Gov. Christie and the State’s Office of Faith Based Initiatives for recognizing these very successful programs, and we applaud these organizations for partnering with government to assist us with the challenge of helping those in need. Congratulations!”
