Mercer ID Cards no longer available at County Connection

TRENTON, N.J. - Beginning today, Mercer County residents will no longer be able to obtain County Identification Cards at the County Connection, Mercer’s outreach center in Hamilton. Residents can still obtain County IDs at the County Clerk’s Office, 209 South Broad St. in Trenton, where passports and County ID cards will be processed on separate floors of the Courthouse beginning in January 2013.
The County Connection is discontinuing that service due to new federal requirements for facilities that issue identity documents. The County Connection will continue to process passport applications provided by the County Clerk’s Office, as well as provide numerous other services for Mercer residents.
The County Connection office is located at 957 Route 33, in the Acme Shopping Center. For more information, go to www.mercercounty.org or call (609) 890-9800. The Mercer County Clerk’s office is located on the first floor of the Old Courthouse at 209 South Broad St. For more information about obtaining passports or County ID cards, call (609) 989-6473; for general information, visit www.mercercounty.org or call (609) 989-6464.
