TRENTON, N.J. - Mercer County Executive Brian M. Hughes and the Mercer County Park Commission are pleased to invite all residents to kick back and enjoy the summer at Mercer County Park in West Windsor with a weekend of live music Aug. 23-24, as part of the 2013 Summer Concert Series. Admission to the concerts is free.
The Bruce Springsteen tribute band Tramps Like Us is scheduled to rock the Marina on Friday, Aug. 23, from 6 to 8 p.m. Tramps Like Us brings the energy, enthusiasm and electric sound that will have attendees on their feet, dancing and singing to Springsteen songs.
Satisfaction, the international touring tribute show dedicated to the Rolling Stones, will close out the Summer Concert Series on Saturday, Aug. 24, from 6 to 8 p.m. This highly acclaimed production brings a colorful performance to 50 years of classic hits. This concert will take place at the crew course finish tower, located just east of the Marina and the Lakeside Village Playground.
The Marina offers a snack bar open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday, selling hot dogs, pretzels, ice cream, soft drinks, coffee and more. Concert attendees will also be able to purchase food, dessert, ice cream and smoothies, and have access to a beer and wine garden for this special occasion.
The park has entrances on Old Trenton Road and Hughes Drive in West Windsor. Electronic signs and park rangers will direct concert-goers to each location and appropriate parking areas. Concert-goers are encouraged to bring chairs and blankets.
