TRENTON, N.J.—Too many children go without, especially during the holiday season, and Mercer County Executive Brian M. Hughes invites County residents, businesses and civic groups to join Mercer County employees in their annual Holiday Toy Drive.

This year’s Holiday Toy Drive will be dedicated to the memory of Mercer County Park Ranger Dave Deveney, who was known for his enthusiasm when it came to gathering gifts for kids who might have otherwise had none at Christmas. Ranger Deveney spent countless hours collecting as many toys as possible and was generous beyond measure.

“Too many children go without, especially during the holiday season. As we begin our annual Holiday Toy Drive, I urge you to give whatever you can toward this year’s effort,” Hughes said. “Even the smallest or simplest item can bring a smile to a child’s face.”

The Mercer County Administration and the Mercer County Park Commission together hope to deliver plenty of joy to this year’s recipient, Toys for Tots. This worthwhile organization joins the many other groups over the years that have benefited from the generosity of Mercer County employees and residents. Unwrapped toys and gifts may be dropped at the following locations from now until Dec. 18.
