TRENTON, N.J.—Government and business leaders will give overviews on the state of the economy at the 9th annual Mercer County Economic Summit on Feb. 27.

The event, with the theme “Capitalizing on Mercer’s Competitive Advantage,” will be held from 1 to 6 p.m. at The Conference Center at Mercer County Community College. It will be presented by Mercer County Executive Brian M. Hughes, the Mercer County Board of Chosen Freeholders and the Mercer County Office of Economic Development & Sustainability, in partnership with the Princeton Regional Chamber of Commerce (PRCC). The event is brought to you by title sponsors PSE&G and Investors Bank and supporting sponsors Verizon and NAI Fennelly.

County Executive Hughes will deliver the Mercer County Economic Development Report, sponsored by New Jersey Manufacturers Insurance. His message will focus on business development and growth in the county and how this best positions the region for the coming year. In addition, the Summit will feature a keynote address from Nobel Prize Winner and Professor of Economics at Princeton University Christopher Sims and remarks by Herb Taylor, Vice President and Corporate Secretary, Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia.

This year’s Summit will also feature a panel discussion titled “Attracting & Growing Your Optimal Workforce” featuring representatives from Sparta Systems, Otsuka, PSE&G and Princeton Air.

The event will conclude with a cocktail and networking reception sponsored by Hopewell Valley Community Bank.
