Children of Mercer County employees celebrate Take Your Child to Work Day, Thursday, April 24, 2014 with a kick-off from Mercer County Executive Brian M. Hughes. Among the day’s activities were presentations by the Mercer County Wildlife Center, featuring animals from the center, visits to various government offices at the McDade Administration Building in Trenton and the Department of Transportation offices in Ewing, pony rides by the Mercer County Equestrian Center, golf activities and tennis activities by the Mercer County Park Commission, and sheep shearing with staff of Howell Living History Farm. Children also received a goody bag filled with treats from the county executive, Sheriff Jack Kemler, and others.
