TRENTON, N.J. - Mercer County Executive Brian M. Hughes reminds would-be travelers that Frontier Airlines will soon begin offering low-fare service from Trenton-Mercer Airport to exciting new destinations that were announced last winter.

Beginning April 29, Frontier will offer service to Indianapolis, in time for the popular Indianapolis 500 racing spectacular, followed on April 30 by service to Nashville, Tenn., the "home of country music,'' and on May 2 to St. Augustine, Fla., the oldest settlement in the U.S.

On June 13, service begins to Milwaukee, Wis., known for its summer festivals, and to St. Louis, Mo., famous for its iconic Gateway Arch, and on June 14, service begins to culturally rich Minneapolis/St. Paul.

"Never before in its history has Trenton-Mercer Airport offered this number and variety of destinations, and we are thrilled that people from all over will discover the beautiful diversity of Mercer County, and that residents from the Mercer County region now have more convenient options through Trenton-Mercer Airport to explore these interesting destinations and all they have to offer," Hughes said.

Mercer County's Trenton-Mercer Airport recently underwent a rapid, multi-million-dollar overhaul, the bulk of it paid for through federal grant dollars, and is earning high marks from the traveling public.

Frontier is the only airline providing scheduled service out of Trenton-Mercer Airport, the gateway to New Jersey's state capital, all of central New Jersey, and southeast Pennsylvania, including metro Philadelphia. In addition to Indianapolis, St. Augustine, Nashville, St. Louis, Milwaukee and Minneapolis, Frontier offers nonstop service from Trenton-Mercer Airport to Atlanta, Charlotte, Chicago-Midway, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Detroit, Fort Lauderdale, Fort Myers, Orlando, Raleigh-Durham and Tampa. Conveniently located near Exit 2 on I-95, Trenton-Mercer Airport avoids the hassles, delays and lines often found at other Northeast airports.
