GENERAL DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Posting is open to County and municipal employees who have completed their working test period in the title of Personnel Technician (02655@).
Under the direction of a supervisory and/or management official within the Division of Selection Services and Recruitment, this position will perform the following duties/responsibilities, which will include but may not be limited to:
∙ Review and process promotional announcement requests from State, county, and municipal government entities, ensuring announcements are issued in accordance with applicable rules and procedures.
∙ Review and process requests for amendment and/or cancellation of promotional announcements.
∙ Provide guidance and information concerning rules governing the promotional announcement/application process and related CSC policies and procedures.
∙ Assist with coordinating public safety promotional announcement program, including researching and analyzing data; request and monitor list extensions.
∙ Prepare responses to routine correspondence
∙ Assist with training division and department employees on unit databases.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
EDUCATION: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree.
EXPERIENCE: One (1) year of technical experience in personnel work involving position classification, compensation, staff and organizational development, regulation interpretation, or personnel selection procedures, equal employment opportunity, workforce planning, and employment counseling.
NOTE: Applicants who do not possess the required education may substitute additional experience as indicate on a year for year basis with thirty (30) semester hour credits being equal to one (1) year of experience.
NOTE: A Master's degree in Personnel Administration, Public Administration, Business Administration or Psychology may be substituted for the indicated experience.
