GENERAL DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Under direction of the Director, Division of Fish and Wildlife or other higher level manager in the Division of Fish and Wildlife, plans, organizes and directs the work programs, activities and staff of an assigned bureau performing complex planning, administrative, environmental or scientific activities related to the areas of fisheries and/or wildlife management; resolves specific technical and administrative issues relative to the work activities of the bureau.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in one of the Biological Sciences, Wildlife Management or Natural Resource Management with a concentration in wildlife science.
Five (5) years of experience in wildlife biology and/or the development of wildlife management programs or, in the development of wildlife information and education programs and associated materials, two (2) years of which shall have been in a supervisory capacity.
NOTE: A Master's degree in any of the fields specified above or, in any other field related to the area of assignment may be substituted for one (1) year of the non-supervisory experience for positions assigned to either Fisheries or Wildlife.
