GENERAL DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

ESSENTAL DUTIES:
- Designs, directs, coordinates and conducts the training programs and educational activities appropriate to assuring agency staff have the required skills, knowledge and abilities to accomplish their responsibilities.
- Verbally provide advice and counsel about training policy and programs.
- Visually review written announcements for all types of training programs.
- Manually prepare annual training budget.
- Verbally provide advice of appropriate training methods and techniques of training.
- Verbally communicate with administrators and supervisors to identify organizational problems and develop a training needs assessment. Assures effective implementation of training and appropriate activities to meet identified needs.
- Manually maintain record of training expenditures.
- Verbally instructs and supervises training unit personnel.
- Manually determines the content, type and length of training courses.
- Supervises the development of course outlines, lists of materials for use, arrangements for use of training rooms, equipment, and proper use of such.
- Manually order training materials and office supplies.
- Manually evaluates evaluation of training programs to assess effectiveness.
- Responsible for selecting qualified staff following acceptable employment practices.
- Manually maintain essential individual staff training records and files.
- Manually conducts Educational Leave and Training Advisory Committee meetings.
- Manually operates audio-visual and training equipment that is used for presentations.
- Manually prepare reports on training programs and activities using computer.
- Attend meetings, conferences, seminars, workshops and training sessions in and outside the agency.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
EDUCATION:
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree.
EXPERIENCE:
Five (5) years of experience in determining training needs, development of training plans and materials and conducting specific training programs or five (5) years of supervisor experience of an income maintenance program or social service program in a Welfare Agency.
