The Office of Local Code Enforcement:

 

  1. Provides mandated State Uniform Construction Code coverage to municipalities (listed below) that have requested that DCA handle their administrative and enforcement authority of the code.  Serves as the construction code enforcement agency for municipalities that have requested this service.  Processes construction applications, reviews plans, performs inspections, issues certificates and orders, and performs other construction code enforcement duties for construction projects occurring within these municipalities.  The agency has 3 Regional Offices – Northern, Central and Southern.  Please click on links for regional office information including mailing address and phone numbers.

  1. Provides plan review for public schools to ensure compliance with the Uniform Construction Code.  The Education Plan Review Unit provides assistance to architects, engineers and developers of such projects. 

 

  1. Serves as the construction code enforcement agency for school projects managed by the New Jersey School Construction Corporation (NJSCC).  The EDA Unit processes construction applications, reviews plans, performs inspections, issues certificates and orders, and performs other construction code enforcement duties for construction projects managed by the NJSCC.
