Copies of the Federal Title X Task Force Report, and the Executive Summary as well, are available from HUDUSER, for a $5 fee. Copies of the HUD "Guidelines for the Evaluation and Control of Lead-Based Paint Hazards in Housing" are available from HUDUSER as well. Call 1-800-245-2691. The American Society of Testing and Materials (ASTM) has published several Practices, Guides, and Specifications relating to lead-based paint. The most recent is provisional standard PS61-96, Guide for Prevention and Control of Lead-Based Paint Hazards in Rental Housing, which is available from ASTM Customer Service for $18.

ASTM offers two comprehensive collections, STP 1226 (Lead in Paint, Soil and Dust: Health Risks, Exposure Studies, Control Measures, Measurement Methods, and Quality Assurance), and Lead1 (ASTM Standards on Lead Hazards Associated With Buildings).
