Multifamily Financing Programs
The Multifamily Programs & Credit Division evaluates and processes multifamily rental housing loans, assists applicants in applying for additional funds from other potential sources, promotes HMFA financing, and educates the public. In addition, the division performs financial analyses of mortgage applications and develops financial feasibility strategies.
The division plans, directs, and works with the applicant to evaluate and design the project, assess the development cost and the risk factors as well as seek cooperation and coordination of federal, state, and municipal agencies and other entities.
Multifamily Lending/Preservation
The Division of Multifamily Lending/Preservation performs financial analyses of mortgage applications and develops financial feasibility strategies for existing multifamily rental properties that have previously been financed or subsidized through a federal housing program, and which are encumbered by regulatory restrictions to provide housing for families of low to moderate income. Eligible activities include refinance, acquisition, renovation and substantial rehabilitation.
