Single Family Programs
The New Jersey Housing and Mortgage Finance Agency maintains an open list of qualified single-family and multi-family appraisers. Single-family appraisal services are needed from time to time for loans that are originated by the agency, including 100% Financing Program Loans and Reverse Mortgages. Assignments are made on a rotating basis. The appraisal application form is available from the agency’s purchasing department.Multi-family Programs
- Appraisers may apply to be placed on the HMFA’s pre-qualified list.
- Contact the HMFA Procurement Division (609-278-7400) and request and Application Package or,
- Download the Prequalified Appraiser Application [pdf 147k] documents on this Web page.
- Complete and sign the documents in the package where indicated and return to:

- The Appraiser’s Application Checklist [pdf 70k];

- The Source Disclosure Certification Form [pdf 88k];
- The Code of Ethics for Venders [pdf 92k];
- Exhibit A [pdf 77k] (Mandatory Affirmative Action Language);
- A Certificate of Employee Information Report or Federal Affirmative Action Plan approval letter – If you do not have either, please indicate that fact;
- A copy of New Jersey State Appraiser’s License;
- Copies of any professional certificates, designations, and associations to which you belong;
- A signed sample appraisal prepared within the past five years related to each category applied for; and
- Proof of Errors and Omission Insurance coverage.
