Mission Statement

The Department of Community Affairs is pleased to provide local planning services that create partnerships with communities to develop cost-effective strategies and solutions for the successful achievement of local land use and planning goals. Our professional multidisciplinary staff offers general land use planning and special project planning services at no cost to local government. Housing support services are also available to assist with administration and implementation of the Fair Housing Act. This includes planning and administrative issues related to municipal participation in the affordable housing programs that have recently been reorganized to be under the jurisdiction of DCA.
