The New Jersey Child Welfare Citizen Review Panel (CWCRP) is one of three citizen review panels established under the New Jersey Comprehensive Child Abuse Prevention and Treatment Act (CCAPTA). The panels are charged with examining the policies and procedures of State and local agencies, and where appropriate, specific cases, to determine the extent to which the agencies are effectively discharging their child protection responsibilities. The CWCRP has chosen to examine specific areas within the child protection/welfare system, includes members of the child welfare community and consumers, and meets monthly at the State House Annex.
