The mission of Training and Technical Assistance Services for the Division of Child Behavioral Health Services is to support learning the requisite knowledge and skills to provide services and support the unique needs and strengths of families and children with complex needs. The training and technical assistance effort draws on a commitment to competency based curriculum design, training based on adult principles of learning and skill development, and development of local expertise and training capacity.
University Behavioral HealthCare (UBHC) of the University of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ), Behavioral Research and Training Institute, is responsible for all DCBHS curriculum development, training and technical assistance activities statewide. This includes all IMDS training and certification, as well as the provision of training contact hours for licensed clinical social workers.
