The Office of Early Childhood Services (OECS) coordinates prevention services to families with children ages birth to six.  Young children are most vulnerable to abuse and neglect and are most likely to suffer serious injuries from it.  Studies have shown that providing early prevention services to young families helps reduce the possibility of abuse and neglect in the future.
