DPCP, Office of Domestic Violence and Family Support Services is the primary funding source and oversight agency for 24 domestic violence programs and liaison with the New Jersey Coalition of Battered Women.  There is at least one DCF designated lead domestic violence program, including a shelter with a 24-hour hotline and response, in each of the 21 counties.  Information and referral, counseling, support groups, financial, legal, housing  and general advocacy, children's services and community education are also provided.  DPCP works closely with the New Jersey Coalition for Battered Women to strengthen core services and with the Division of Youth and Family Services to promote collaborative policies, practices and protocols.  Collaboration among domestic violence, child protection, courts, prevention and other helping agencies better serves victims of domestic violence and their children.
