Current air quality: As of 6 a.m., July 24 moderate air quality is being reported in several regions of the state. The highest readings are being reported in the Northern Metropolitan region due to particulates. Good air quality is being reported in the rest of New Jersey. Check the map below for more details.

Today's air quality forecast: July 24: Moderate fine particle levels are forecast in northern New Jersey. The rest of the Garden State should have good air quality ratings due to heavy precipitation and cooler temperatures.

We send updates and forecasts to the wire services and the media, and we also issue health advisories when air pollution reaches unhealthful levels.
