From May to September, U.S. EPA creates maps of forecast and actual
ground-level ozone concentrations. This summer, the maps cover most
of the east coast as well as the Kentucky - Tennessee area and the upper
midwest, with state and local monitoring agencies sending ozone data to EPA
several times a day.
The maps are on EPA's ozone mapping
web site, and EPA also makes them available to the companies that
provide weather information to TV stations for the news. Here are some
shortcuts to maps that include New Jersey (the animated ones may take some
time to transfer):
Visit EPA's web site for more information and other maps.
