DIRECTIONS

The War Memorial is located on Memorial Drive near the corner of Lafayette and Barrack streets in Trenton’s historic Capitol Complex.

MASS TRANSIT**

Bus routes into Trenton can be found at www.njtransit.com. New Jersey Transit’s Northeast Corridor Line and River LINE, SEPTA and Amtrak trains serve the Trenton Train Station. The War Memorial is located less than a mile from the Trenton Train Station.

From the Trenton Train Station:

Walk north on S. Clinton St. Turn left onto E. State St. Turn left onto New Warren St. Turn right onto Lafayette St. The War Memorial is located at the corner of Lafayette and Barrack streets.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS**

From the east:

Take I-195 West. Merge onto Route 29 North at the end of I-195 West. Take the Memorial Drive exit. The War Memorial is at the end of the exit ramp on your left.

From the south:

Take I-295 North or the Turnpike north. Merge onto I-195 West. Merge onto Route 29 North at the end of I-195 West. Take the Memorial Drive exit. The War Memorial is at the end of the exit ramp on your left.

From the northeast (via Turnpike):

Take the Turnpike south. Merge onto I-195 West. Merge onto Route 29 North at the end of I-195 West. Take the Memorial Drive exit. The War Memorial is at the end of the exit ramp on your left.

From the northeast (via Route 1 South):

When Route 1 South splits in Lawrence, stay left on Route 1 South to downtown Trenton. Do not take Business Route 1 to North Trenton. Take the Market St. exit. Follow signs to Market St. (left at first light, right at next light). Take Market St. to Route 29 North (bear left at fork). Take first exit for Memorial Drive. The War Memorial is at the end of the exit ramp.

From the northwest:

On the approach into Trenton, take I-95 South. Merge onto Route 29 South. After the Calhoun St. exit on the right, take the left exit for Memorial Drive. The War Memorial is at the end of the exit ramp on your left.

**If you are traveling to Trenton by car or by bus, please be aware that there is road construction on East State Street in front of the DEP Building and part of the road is closed. This may result in travel detours and delays.

 

PARKING INFORMATION

A parking lot is located alongside the War Memorial building. Handicapped parking is avail-able at the front corner of the War Memorial. Free parking may be available in the parking lot directly in front of the War Memorial, in the parking garage directly behind the Statehouse and on the streets around the War Memorial.
