Fact: The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) will save $4.5 million over 5 years on its contract for its 2,000 copiers in 14 locations across the U.S. by choosing copiers capable of using recycled paper and are Energy Star compliant.
How to Live Green, Save Green!
Do simple things at work such as purchasing energy efficient products.
- Use ENERGY STAR’S online interactive tool, Bring Your Green to Work, to learn about more ways to save!
- Don’t unnecessarily print and, if you must print, print double-sided on recycled paper.
Why Bother?
Prevent air pollution and waste before it is generated. Making wise purchasing decisions can prevent and reduce harmful impacts on the environment and human health and welfare.
By purchasing recycled products, consumers are helping to create long-term stable markets for the recyclable materials that are collected from New Jersey homes, businesses, and institutions.
In addition to preserving natural resources and saving energy, recycling employs almost 27,000 people in New Jersey and adds almost $6 billion in annual receipts to our State’s economy.
