Sustainability – What Is It and What’s In It For My Business
On October 19, 2011, the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection's Office of Economic Growth and Green Energy presented a seminar entitled, “Sustainability – What Is It and What’s In It For My Business” as part of Trenton Small Business Week (TSBW) 2011. TSBW is sponsored by the NJ Small Business Development Center at The College of NJ and is a week-long event to support and educate small businesses.
At the seminar, Economic Growth and Green Energy presented the basics of sustainability and the triple bottom line as part of its on-going effort to promote sustainability planning and practices among NJ businesses by providing resources and education. Then, three local small businesses shared their ideas on sustainability, why they became involved and what specific changes they implemented.
