The Air Permitting Program is revising Technical Manual (TM) 1002, “Guideline on Air Quality Impact Analysis.”  The existing version of TM 1002 was issued in August, 1997.   The revisions are necessary based on the current air quality models being used and modifications made to reference materials.

TM 1002 is meant for source operations required to conduct an air quality impact analysis pursuant to N.J.A.C. 7:27-8.5 “Air Quality Impact Analysis” and N.J.A.C. 7:27-22.8 “Air Quality Simulation Modeling and Risk Assessment.”

A notice of the revision will be published in the New Jersey Register on September 8, 2009. The public comment period will close on November 7, 2009. A revised manual and fact sheet are available at the Department’s web site: http://www.state.nj.us/dep/aqpp/publicnotices.htm
