Who is affected by this initiative?
The following types of facilities are affected and will greatly benefit from this workshop:
1. Title V facilities subject to submittal requirements for six-month deviation report and annual compliance certification;
2. All facilities subject to annual combustion adjustment [ N.J.A.C. 7:27-19.16(c) and (d)];
3. Facilities subject to submittal requirements for Continuous Emission Monitoring Systems (CEMS) and/or Continuous Opacity Monitoring Systems (COMS) Excess Emission and Monitoring Systems Performance Report (EEMPR); and
4. Facilities applying for a General Permit.
Why would I need help?
As part of the e-government services strategy, the NJDEP continues to expand the usage of its Online web portal by providing the regulated community a means to meet submittal requirements electronically. As such the Air Quality Permitting Program has been requiring affected facilities to submit the EEMPR electronically. This requirement affects facilities that have Continuous Emission Monitoring Systems (CEMS) and/or Continuous Opacity Monitoring Systems (COMS). In the near future, the Air Quality Permitting Program will begin to require affected facilities to submit their six-month deviation report and annual compliance certification electronically. In addition, the recently adopted regulation for the Control and Prohibition of Air Pollution from Oxides of Nitrogen (N.J.A.C. 7:27-19) requires affected facilities to submit their annual combustion adjustment report electronically. These requirements have also been (or will soon be) included in settlement agreements, new air permits, and permit renewals. If your facility is not currently affected, it will be in the near future. And finally, General Permits (GP) can be obtained through the NJDEP web portal. It is typically cheaper and faster to obtain a GP online.
What compliance assistance is available?
NJDEP is providing a free workshop on how to use the NJDEP Online web portal for obtaining General Permits (GP) and submitting the above-mentioned reports electronically. This workshop will provide a step by step presentation of the GP and electronic submittal processes. The workshop will also present how to setup your new myNewJersey account, required for all NJDEP online services, if you do not have one. The workshop will be held on Wednesday - October 21, 2009 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the
