The Air Quality permitting program is announcing two new general permits entitled: General Permit (GP-017) for “Boiler(s) and/or Heater(s) Each Less Than 5 million BTU/Hr” and General Permit (GP-018) for “Boiler(s) and/or Heater(s) Each Less Than 10 million BTU/hr ”. These General Permits are replacing the current General Permits (GP-006) for “Boilers Less Than 10 million BTU/Hr Combusting Natural Gas, Propane, No. 2 Fuel Oil, Diesel, Kerosene, or A Combination Of these Fuels” and (GP-006A) for “Boilers and Heaters [Individually Less Than 10 MMBTU/HR]”. The Notice of Opportunity for Public Comment is scheduled to be published in the September 2, 2008 issue of the New Jersey Register. There is a 30 day public comment period.
