The Air Quality Permitting Program recently drafted a new General Permit entitled “General Permit (GP-019) for Portable Equipment”. This General Permit is for engines with a maximum rated horsepower of up to 1400 HP and associated portable and ancillary equipment which is operated as a dedicated group. The equipment covered by this General Permit may be used throughout the state of New Jersey. This General Permit is available for comment for a 30 day period commencing October 15, 2007.
